The Seiko Prospex Diver SLA017J1 is a re-edition of one of the most iconic dive watches in Seiko’s history: the 62MAS of 1965, the brand’s very first professional diver’s watch. This limited edition preserves the vintage essence of the original model while integrating the modern technical innovations of the Prospex line.

The 39.9 mm stainless steel case features brushed and polished finishes that highlight its retro look. A black unidirectional rotating bezel with 60-minute scale offers full diving functionality, while the domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating reinforces its professional-grade reliability. The black dial with luminous markers and large hands ensures excellent legibility under water and in low light.

Inside beats the automatic Seiko calibre 8L35, developed and assembled at Seiko’s Shizukuishi Studio, delivering a 50-hour power reserve and designed specifically for high-performance diving watches.

The watch is water resistant to 200 meters and comes with a stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp and diving extension, plus an additional retro-style silicone strap in homage to the original 62MAS.
