Pre-owned IWC Pilot's Watch Ref. IW377717, with a 43mm steel case, steel bezel, steel pushers, blue dial with Arabic numerals, luminescent indices and hands, 3 sub-dials: small seconds at 9 o'clock (with a red hand), 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock and 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock, day and date display at 3 o'clock. Sapphire crystal and steel case back engraved. Automatic movement calibre 79320. Steel bracelet with deployant clasp and leather strap with buckle IWC.
In mint condition with small signs of use. Complete with original box and documents.

Over the last decades, the swiss manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen has devoted a big share of their development department to Pilot's watches. Having a very fond relationship with the aircraft industry and as big enthusiasts of renowned pilots, in 1936 they produced the first Pilot's Watch, beginning what will become one of their biggest and most wanted watches' families. As new Pilot's models were produced, is noticeable the use of the finest materials and high-end technology applied to complications.
The first IWC Pilot's Watch was produced in the mid-1930s for civil aviation purposes. It was particularly robust and resistant to fluctuations in temperature in the range of -40ºC...+40ºC, and was also anti-magnetic.
