The IWC Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar Top Gun Ref. IW502902 is one of the most iconic and technically advanced pieces in IWC’s Pilot’s collection. Crafted in black ceramic, an extremely scratch-resistant material with a technical matte finish, this model combines military-inspired aesthetics, strong wrist presence and one of haute horlogerie’s most prestigious complications: the perpetual calendar.

The imposing 48 mm case delivers the characteristic Big Pilot look, while remaining surprisingly wearable thanks to the lightness of the ceramic. The black dial, with its perfectly arranged sub-dials, offers clear reading of all indications: date, day of the week, month, four-digit year and double moonphase display for both northern and southern hemispheres.
Luminous hands and markers ensure excellent legibility even in low-light conditions.

Inside beats the IWC calibre 51614, an in-house automatic movement with Pellaton winding system reinforced with ceramic components and an impressive 7-day power reserve. The movement is designed so that the perpetual calendar can run accurately without manual correction until the year 2100.

This example is fitted with a black textile strap, perfectly matching the watch’s aviation/military character, and secured by an IWC folding clasp for both comfort and safety on the wrist.

The watch comes with an IWC box (no original papers) and has undergone a service at Bucherer in November 2022, confirming its excellent mechanical condition.
