From what would be the Sylicon Valley for fine watchmaking, the small town of Glashütte in the German Saxony, has witnessed the birth of the most prestigious brands in the world. Considered by many as the German flagship for luxury watches, A. Lange & Söhne also suffered the impact of WWII and it wasn't until 1990 that the company became under private hands again thanks to the narrow collaboration of Swiss watchmakers like IWC. Nowadays, the company is held by the Richemont group. Although its history and tradition goes back many years ago, it is in the last decades that the company has achieved to contribute with emblematic creations to the luxury watch industry. Within the Saxonia collection, one of the models that reflects the art in complications is the Langematik.
This legendary Langematik Big Date is a modern classic from the finest and earliest German precision watchmakers. The double-framed aperture for the oversized date is one of the signatures of this timepiece. Realised in 2000, the patented "Sax-O-Mat" automatic winding movement is one of the finest in the world.
With a beautiful silver dial, reading the time with this A. Lange & Söhne Langematik Big Date is a real spectacle for the eyes. Thanks to a careful and respectful use from its previous owner, this watch is presented as seen on the pictures and with its original box and papers.
